Made 1886 by “V.C.S. C.G.H”, which is the marking of the Suhl consortium of arms makers consisting of V.C Schilling & Cie and C.G. Haenel & Cie. Two unit marks on the back strap, one is crossed out, the other is not. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, including the smooth finish wood grips. 4-1/2″ barrel with original sights. Original blued finish and smooth finish oil wood grips. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with areas of wear and brown patina. Grips have light dents, impressions and scrapes. The right grip panel has an interior crack. Bore is clean overall, with a few minor pits. Very strong rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Antique, no FFL required in most places.
