Made 1944 and shipped to England under the lend lease program. Gun retains its “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” and “M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY” markings on the right side of the frame. Crossed cannons cartouche on the right side of the frame as well. “FJA” inspector cartouche on the left side of the frame, with a “P” firing proof as well. “P” proof on the slide as well. British proofs throughout, as well as “NOT ENGLISH MAKE” and “RELEASED/BRITISH GOV 1952″ on the frame and slide respectively. No import marks found. 5” Flannery sub contractor barrel, which is correct for Rem Rand guns. Parkerized finish and checkered brown Keyes fiber grips. Includes “C-R” marked WW2 contractor parkerized metal magazine. CONDITION: Metal and grips are excellent overall. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Magazine is excellent. Great piece for your WW2 collection! C&R eligible.
