Full Description

Made 1917 by Eddystone in the United States. This example eventually found its way to Canada, likely during WW1/WW2, and has a “C” and broad arrow proof on the chamber. Remnants of a red painted band can be seen around the fore stock indicating .30-06 (so troops would not confuse them with the almost identical Pattern 14/P14 Enfield rifles). Various unit marks on the right side of the butt. Barrel is Eddystone production, dated “11-17” under a flaming bomb proof. Import marked on the barrel. Some parts are “R” marked for Remington. Bolt was arsenal numbered, but is not matching. 26″ barrel with original sights. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with mixed wear and patina.  Wood has minor impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore remains clean, with very good overall rifling. C&R eligible.
