DWM Chilean contract Model 1895 Mauser bolt action rifle in 7.62X51 NATO. Made circa 1898-1900 in Germany. Originally chambered in 7MM, but arsenal converted to 7.62X51 circa 1860s. Nice crest on the chamber. Import marked on the barrel. Mismatched serial numbers. “1898” dated cartouche on the left side of the butt. Standard sights. Original blued finish and oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with general wear. Wood has minor handling marks, scratches and scrapes. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. C&R eligible.
