Made 1949 at the St. Etienne Arsenal. This gun was arsenal converted to MAS 1936-51 configuration, likely as a trials gun. Import marked on the left side of the receiver. Matching serials on the receiver, bolt and floor plate. Factory sights and grenade launching muzzle. Original bayonet (not numbered), arsenal finish and oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal and wood are excellent overall! Bore is bright, with strong rifling. C&R eligible.
