Model 1907-15 Berthier, made by Delaunay Belleville factory and later sold to Turkey, where it was converted to a short rifle/carbine and used by the National Forest Service. Balle “N” marked chamber and “1948”, the date of the arsenal conversion. Import marked on the barrel. Matching arsenal serials on the receiver and bolt. The French serials are mixed. 22″ barrel with original sights. Arsenal blued finish. Wood has been arsenal sanded and oiled. Includes attached leather sling. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with a natural brown patina throughout. Wood has light handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is bright, with strong rifling. C&R eligible. Sling has wear and crazing. C&R eligible.
