Made 1880 and then updated to M.80 specifications. Matching serials on the barrel and bayonet lug. Bolt and stock are not matching, but original French. “LEWIS” marked on the butt stock. Various rack numbers throughout. Blade front sight and sliding ladder rear. Arsenal blued finish and oiled wood stock. Original metal clearing rod. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with a natural brown patina throughout. Wood has impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore is lightly frosted, with well defined rifling retained. Antique, no FFL required in most areas.
