Made by Howa Machinery in Japan, circa 1965-1966, for the Royal Thai Police force. These are based on the USGI M1 Carbine, and even take the same magazines. Crest remains on the chamber. Small import mark on the right side of the receiver. “2” rack number on the right side of the stock. 18″ barrel with blade front sight and adjustable rear. Original blued finish and oiled wood stock. USGI Winchester contract 15 round blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with light wear. Wood has minor impressions, dents and impressions. Bore is bright, with very good rifling. Magazine has wear and gray patina. A rare Carbine for your collection! C&R eligible.
