Made 1944 by Mauser Oberndorf. Shipped to Iraq post war, with a “Jeem” on the chamber. The swastikas have been peened out. Import marked on the barrel. Matching serials on the receiver, barrel, trigger guard, front band and stock. Bolt does not match. “eagle/H” marked stock. 24″ barrel with original K98 sights. Original blued finish. Wood has been lightly sanded/oiled. Israeli marked leather sling. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with a natural gray/silver patina throughout. Wood has light handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling. Sling is very good. C&R eligible.
