Made circa 1904-1908 by DWM in Berlin Germany for the Portuguese military. Crest remains on the chamber. Later arsenal upgraded to fire 8MM Mauser. Import marked on the barrel, Matching serials on the numbered parts. 24-1/2″ barrel with original sights. Original blued finish and oiled wood stock. Includes original leather sling, muzzle cover and cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with honest wear and mixed brown patina. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted, with good overall rifling. Sling has wear and crazing. C&R eligible.
