Full Description
Made 1930S by J.G. Anschutz, and called the “Wehrsportkarabiner”. These were made for youth and social organizations (like the Hitler Youth), with an emphasis on marksmanship. Modeled after the K98/98K rifle, and firing a special 4MM Long rimfire round. No import marks. Matching serials on the barrel and receiver. 26″ overall barrel length, with the rifle part only extending 8″ out from the chamber. Blade front sight and u0notch tangent rear. Original blued finish and oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with mixed wear and brown patina. Light, cleaned freckling of surface rust throughout the metal parts. Wood has handling marks, scrapes, dents and scratches. Bore is bright, with strong rifling. C&R eligible.
