Arsenal dates of “06”, “07”, “09”, and “10” on the left side of the stock socket. No import marks found. Matching serials on the receiver and nose cap. Other serials are mismatched, but original British parts. Magazine cut off has been removed, as was common on grenade rifles. Volley sights are retained, as well as the original blade front, and 2000 meter rear, with its unique metal sight protector. Arsenal blued finish and oiled wood stock, with metal wire wrap for grenade launching. Brass butt plate with trap door for cleaning tools (none retained inside). Original blued steel magazine retained, as well as a “M.E.Co. 1944” marked sling. Painted green, “NO.1 MK.1” grenade launching cup on the muzzle. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with honest wear and gray patina. Wood has minor impressions and scrapes. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling. Grenade cup is excellent. Sling has light wear. A rare gun, as most grenade rifles scene in the U.S. are Indian Ishapore guns, not actual British guns such as this! C&R eligible.
