Made 1941, the first year of Production at Long Branch Arsenal in Canada. No import marks found. Matching serials on the stock socket and bolt. Magazine and stock are not numbered, which seems to be correct for these early Long Branch Enfield’s. “1” marked bolt head. 25″ barrel with blade front sight and 1300 meter adjustable rear ladder. Arsenal blued/black finish and sanded/oiled wood stock. Includes an original Woods manufacturing khaki sling, dated “1941”. CONDITION: Metal and wood are very good overall. Bore is shiny, with excellent two groove rifling. Sling is excellent. These first year guns are very rare, as only a few thousand were made! C&R eligible.
