Full Description

One of about 3,000 made for the U.S. Navy circa 1888-1890. These were used in the Spanish American War by Navy ship units. Chamber is marked “U.S.N./anchor/No.3  902/A.C.D.”. Unit number “58” on the comb, and unit marked “2D.SEP.N.D.” unit mark on the right side of the foreshock. 32-1/2″ barrel with blade front sight and 1200 yard rear ladder, similar to a Trapdoor rear sight. Finish turning to a fray patina. Wood has a light oil finish. Original blued steel magazine and ramrod. CONDITION: Metal is an even gray patina throughout. Wood is excellent overall. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling. Magazine is very good. An above average example for your collection! Antique, no FFL required in most areas.
