One of about 7,000 made 1940 for the German Wehrmacht. It is assumed that most of these 480 codes pistols were sent to the Russian Front, making them hard to find in “bring back”, original condition. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout. “eagle/359″ Waffenamts throughout. 5” barrel with factory sights. Original blued finish and ribbed red plastic grips. Includes two original blued steel magazines (both are not numbered, but are Walther production, with “Eagle/359” Waffenamts on the back. Also includes an original “bla/1944” leather holster, marked “P.38” and “eagle/WaA159” on the back. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with honest finish loss and holster wear. Grips are excellent. Bore is lightly frosted, with good overall rifling. De-cocker works as it should. Magazine and holster have honest finish wear. C&R eligible.
