Made 1944 by Springfield, later finding its way to Denmark. Danish Navy markings on the rear sight housing. Danish “VAR” marked barrel, dated “6-57”. Serial number is punched on the underside of the stock in Danish fashion, being matching to the gun. No import marks found. Standard M1 sights. Parkerized finish and light oil finish on the stock. Original USGI cleaning kit inside the butt stock. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with light wear. Wood has minor scrapes, scratches and dents. Bore is bright, with strong rifling. Cleaning kit is very good. A must have for any M1 or Danish rifle for your collection! C&R eligible.
