Full Description
Made 1869 at Springfield Armory. Lock plate is dated “1863” as they used left over Civil War lock plates. Matching serials. Arsenal cartouche on the left side of the stock. 32-1/2″ barrel with original sights. Original blued finish and oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with a natural gray patina forming throughout. Bur plate has pitting and surface rust. Wood has impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling. Some minor pitting. Tight hammer , with all clicks. Antique, no FFL required in most areas.
