Made 1903 at Springfield Armory. This example looks to have never been arsenal refurbished. Boxed “JLA/1903” cartouche on the left side, with a circled “P” firing proof on the wrist. “155” rack number on the right side of the butt. Original pedestal blade front sight and 1902 pattern rear. Original blued finish and oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal is very good overall, with honest wear/gray patina throughout. Wood has minor impressions and scrapes. Hand guard is cracked. Bore is frosted, with good overall rifling. C&R eligible.
