Made 1920S, and original configured as an M1, by upgraded to an M2. Bolt is “M2” marked. These were made to teach marksmanship skills to soldiers, without using the heavy recoil 1903 Springfield. Barrel is dated “9-27” under a flaming bomb. Boxed “SA” on the left side of the wrist, and circled “P” on the wrist. Bolt is matching to the gun. 24″ barrel with original blade front sight (and original front sight protector), and Lyman adjustable rear. Arsenal parkerized finish and oiled wood stock. Original “M2” marked magazine. Includes attached later production Springfield Armory M1907 Pattern sling. CONDITION: Metal is excellent overall. Wood has minor impressions, dents and scratches. Bore is shiny, with very good rifling. C&R eligible.
