Full Description

Made circa late 1880s by Steyr. This gun was given to Turkey circa WW1, where it was converted to 8X50MMR. Used by cavalry and mounted units. Barrels were also shortened to 21″ and the action converted to single shot only.  Blade front sight and u-notch rear sight. Arsenal blued finish with an oiled wood stock finish, with some rack markings on the right side of the butt. Period clearing rod is present. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with honest wear and patina. Wood has minor impressions, scrapes and dents. Bore has a frosted surface. Rifling remains very strong. Antique, no FFL required in most places.
