Made circa 1915-1917 by Winchester for the British and Commonwealth governments fighting in WW1. Import marked on the barrel. Matching serials on the receiver, bolt and rear sight. 26″ barrel with original sights. Arsenal ruled finish and oiled wood stock. CONDITION: Metal is excellent overall. A light layer of storage grease exists throughout, and on the internals. Wood has minor impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore is frosted in the grooves. Rifling remains very good. No stacking swivel on the front band. C&R eligible.
