Full Description

Made 1944-45. Late war gun, void of slide markings, minus “CAL. 7.65” on the left side. Some later applied illegible writing is present as well, likely the name of the G.I. who brought it back. Includes capture papers stating this gun was captured in 1945 by a solider in the 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment, who served in Italy and Germany during the War. “eagle/N” and “eagle/37” proofs on the right heel of the frame and left side of the trigger guard respectively. No import marks found. Matching serials on the frame and slide. Standard sights and factory blued finish. Checkered left grip panel is original, with the right being a likely replacement. Includes two unmarked blued steel magazines and a period leather holster. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% finish, with general wear. Right grip is excellent, with the left being cracked/glue repaired. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Mechanically fine, with decoder working as it should. Magazines have light wear, as does the holster. Stitching remains tight. Capture papers have been tapped.
