Made early 1944. “UNITED STATES PROPERTY” and “M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY” marked on the left side of the frame. Crossed cannons ordnance cartouche on the right side of the frame. Left side of the frame has a “FJA” inspector stamp and “P” firing proof, which also exists on the slide, in front of the rear sight. 5″ barrel is High Standard, “HS” marked, which is correct, as High Standard was the main contractor for Ithaca and Remington Rand. Blade front sight and u-notch rear. Original parkerized finish. Keyes fiber brown grips. Parkerized metal magazine, marked “R” on the lip for Risdon. CONDITION: Metal is very good, with honest wear. Grips have light wear. Bore is bright, with strong rifling. Magazine is excellent. Solid, non arsenal refurb Ithaca M1911A1 for your collection! C&R eligible.
